It is the seventh main installment of the Mortal Kombat franchise (and the final game in the original canon timeline). Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is a 3D fighting game developed and published by Midway for the PlayStation 2 (on October 11, 2006) and Xbox (on October 17, 2006).
